I've tried to run MeanShiftVectorImageFilterExample with a bigger (175MB or 315MB) image in Windows and Linux. The first 2 images are processed and saved ok but when It gets to the labeled image, It's not sabed and the process is interrupted with the following erro (in Windows):
MeanShiftVectorImageFilterExample.exe has encountered a problem and nees to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information".
Then I decided to create a simpler version of this function. Instead of creating the first 2 files, the first process is to create labeled image. Attached to this report I placed the meanshift01.cxx
But I get exacly the same error in both systems
I run meanshift01.exe like this:
meanshift01.exe 3kompsat.tif labeled.tif 10 20 100 255
This happens in the following OS:
- Windows XP
- Ubuntu 9.10
This also happens in:

- OTB 3.4.1

When trying to threshold an image with low non-integer dynamic, such as correlation map or NDVI, parameters, the slider to set the thresolds are stuck to 1,inf, or Nan,Nan.
The step of the slider should adapt to the image dynamic. Morover, the user should be able to set the threshold values by hand.
*1281364164 - aurelien*The threshold module works fine on an image with a dynamic between -1.2605e-10 and 7.03704e-10. Perhaps the issue is related to the following bogue: http://bugs.orfeo-toolbox.org/view.php?id=166
Could your image possess pixels outside what appears to be the dynamic?
*1281364618 - julien*No, it does not work fine. Try thresholding the attached image, which I created with the fine correlation module.
*1281367438 - julien*Ok the image contains inf pixel at the border, which causes the odd behaviour. I switch the bug status to feature request, since it would be useful to be able to set the threshold by hand.

I confirm that the writing for png and jpeg is done by the ITK IO
(so I wasn't able to remote as much as I wanted to). And all other
gdal formats that do not support random access writing are not
working. This is due to some false assumption, for example:
http://hg.orfeo-toolbox.org/OTB/file/9ab8b09e60ab/Code/IO/otbGDALImageIO.h#l104
104 /** Determine the file type. Returns true if the ImageIO can
stream write the specified file */
105 //THOMAS
106 virtual bool CanStreamWrite()
107 {
108 return true;
109 }
and the use of the Create() method:
http://hg.orfeo-toolbox.org/OTB/file/9ab8b09e60ab/Code/IO/otbGDALImageIO.cxx#l969
The gdal tutorial is pretty clear and we should be using the
CreateCopy for the format that do not support random write access:
http://www.gdal.org/gdal_tutorial.html
All gdal format that do not provide a Create() method are currently not supported.

-activate the automatic mode in the vectorization module
-right click on the minimap (in a region of the image which is not displayed in the full resolution window)
=>the segmentation is perfomed in the full resolution (not at the same index selected in the mini map view)
Solution :
-Block right click in other view thant full resolution?
-Allow to perform segmentation estimation in the Minimap view (firstly change the full resolution view to feat with the selection in the scroll window and after that display the segmented region in the full resolution view)
After multiple right click in the mini map view, monteverdi quit with the error message:
