ERROR print during execution : Not a TIFF or MDI file, bad magic number

In a few executions an error is printed when the DEM is used:

ERROR 1: <dem_path>.hgt:Not a TIFF or MDI file, bad magic number 22076 (0x563c)

This error does not seem to be critical. Execution keeps going and results are provided.

A rebuild of hgt does not fix this error.
