Glad to hear that
As discussed in the mailing list, The OTB plugin has been dropped from QGIS core https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/55406
OTB provider plugin is currently being part of the QGIS core, and some discussions has been raised to remove it so it becomes a fully 3rd party plugin, maintained by the OTB community.
I have both contributed to QGIS and OTB and I'm in favor of this proposal.
I think it would ease development of the plugin and would lower the pain of managing compatibility between QGIS and OTB.
That would require to move the OTB QGIS Plugin to the QGIS Plugin platform or even embed it in the OTB installer.
At the moment, no one is clearly identified to make the modifications.
OTB is a great tool and we would like to see it still integrated into QGIS. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

@troopa81 Can we merge this ?
Yes
@ytanguy Good to hear, thanks for testing!
Hello Yannick,
OTB 8.0 shall be released in september or october. It would be fine to have this MR merged in a few weeks in order to be compliant with next QGIS versions.
OK, I updated QGIS interface documentation compatibility matrix accordingly.

fix inputXML reading
This MR follows !767 and !768 to improve parameter selection in QGIS.
It replaces some ParameterListView
with ParameterType_Field
and ParameterType_InputFilename
with ParameterType_InputVectorData
when relevant.
These modifications were delayed in order to wait for QGIS 3.18 release which embed this PR. It indeed needs the support of field selection for MultipleLayers in TrainImagesClassifier
(which is a composite of the other modified applications)
I would like to update QGISInterface.rst but I'm not sure in which OTB version this modification will land (8.0 ? 8.1.0?).
