Conflit in DEM_Information for DTM created with DTMCreation
name: General Issue (FA)
about: Use this template for reporting an anomaly.
System information
- OS Platform and Distribution (e.g., Linux Ubuntu 16.04): any
- Maja installed from (source or binary): binary
- Maja version (use command below): 4.6.1
- Maja commit sha (if Maja is installed from source):
- Python version (From binpkg or custom): from binpkg
- Complementary info (i.e. GCC/Compiler version)
Describe the current behavior
In the DTM product written, there is an inconsistency in the header file *.HDR.
In the DEM_Information field, the sampling interval given seems to be the one of the initial DTM used, not the one of the files written. On the other side, the size field is the one of the resampled DTM.
Hence, if any tool is making checks on the DTM expected footprint, based on the left_corner, sampling_size and size information, it yields an error.
Describe the expected behavior
I would expect the sampling size to be the one of the ALT.tif (or ALT_R1.tif) file.
Urgency/Criticity
- Urgency (Select Low/Medium/High): Medium
- Criticity (Select Low/Medium/High): Medium
Code to reproduce the issue
Issue appears with a Sentinel2 product and using Copernicus dem.
It also appears with a Venus product (cf command below). In this example, the sampling_size indicates 90 and -90 (by_line and by_column respectively) while the DTM produced indicates a 5m resolution. Both upper_left_corner and sizes are identical in the two files (.HDR and ALT.tif).

Correction
(Optional) Provide a version number (Major.Minor.Patch, e.g. 3.2.1) when the correction shall be introduced.
