Add force OpenGL 1.x compatibility option
Mantis Issue 1278, reported by salbert, assigned to salbert, created: 2016-09-20
Add an OpenGL 1.x compatibility option on the command-line & possibly in the preferences dialog and/or status-bar (click on GLSL, for example).
Use case: some users are blocked because Ice detected OpenGL 2.x with GLSL 1.20 on a remote desktop environment but image-view is empty (probably an OpenGL driver support in remote desktop environment).
Test case:
- install virtualized linux server
- install OTB standalone package & some data on the linux server
- access Monteverdi on virtualized linux server via mobaXterm (which supports X11 forwarding and OpenGL in remote desktop environment) and PuttY.
I had a user in this case. glxinfo says OpenGL vendor name is 'VMWare Inc.'. We tried the same network topology but with Monteverdi on a physical Linux (dora) and use his tools (mobaXterm and PuttY), which worked.
