Inoperative fields in the reprojection module
Mantis Issue 269, reported by jmichel, assigned to ghost, created: 2011-04-07
Some fields are not taken into account in the reprojection module : for instance, it is impossible to change Easting and Northing values in LAMBERT2 mode (new values are ignored by the module). As a result, the reprojection module is unable to produce a user defined ROI orthorectification.
- There might be more ignored fields in the module : they should all be checked for correct behaviour
- For now, the reproject module is not providing the same level of operationnality as its command-line application counter part (mainly because of interface bugs). This is really confusing our click&play users.
- The automatic behaviour refreshing some fields when other are changed is also confusing : it is very difficult for a user knowing all its output parameters to actually get the GUI to have all of them correctly entered (and some of them are ignored afterward).
- The origin geographical coordinates are very confusing : they are in the input image tab but seems to set the ouptut image origin and override the cartographic origin in the output image tab. This should be fixed : either remove this part or merge it with the cartographic coordinate box.
Either we manage to get this module working out of the box (at least for the exposed fields and buttons) or we reduce its scope by making some fields not editable. But the current state is really not acceptable for users.

- Only the Easting/Northing fields are linked to the lat/lon origin, so when using upper left or center pixel, but the UTM zone and other transform parameters are deactivated as well.
- Morover, choosing user defined, upper-left or centered origin is not related to any geographic stuff, so it should not be in the box with geographic coordinates
- Last, I think those mode have derived from their original purpose : the center mode aimed at producing a region surrounding a given position (which is no longer the behaviour). It would be great to restore this behaviour (or remove those options).
