Open RADARSAT2 products as an SAR image in Monteverdi
Mantis Issue 270, reported by msavinaud, assigned to msavinaud, created: 2011-04-11
Try to open an RADARSAT2 products with Monteverdi The reader will detect the dataset as a hdf dataset and will display the sub-dataset selection combo box and open this image as optical one (default case). In this case the image is correctly open but with a sub-dataset name. Moreover it is not open with the calibrated LUT defined by the selected sub-dataset. All choices produced the same results: uncalibrated data. This calibrated data seems to be supported by GDAL: http://www.gdal.org/frmt_rs2.html
If we try to open the image as an SAR image, Monteverdi will crash.
The problem is linked to the fact that we consider that a hdf file is defined as file with sub-dataset and composed of scalar image.
A small test in otb show that we can open the RADARSAT2 data as a Vector Image of Complex: ioTvVectorImageFileReaderWithComplexPixel_RADARSAT2
1306328199 - mickaelsolved with changeset 65876ae30be1 Now detection of sub-dataset is restricted to HDF files. If product.xml is selected the reader module detect the file as an SAR image with 4 bands (as indicated by gdalinfo). Each bands correspond to the band provided by gdalinfo: b1 = HH, b2 == VV, b3 = HV and b4 = VH
However some problems can appear with metadata because she is inside the xml file.
