Deploy icons for Monteverdi2 in packages and also for local build if possible
Mantis Issue 648, reported by mgrizonnet, assigned to jmalik, created: 2013-02-26
Could be nice if an icon appears for Monteverdi2 on Mac,Linux and Windows in the start menu as well as when we use the "Alt-Tab" shortcut.
I think that it is also possible to deploy such icons for local build. I use the open source tool "Luminance-hdr" which use Qt. It is built locally and icon seems to be deployed in the bin directory as it appears when I press "Alt-Tab".

1361968837 - grizonnetmI've noticed that Monteverdi's icon looks very pixelated (within ubuntu unity's "alt tab" in my case).
I think it needs 128x128 icons while Monteverdi's is 48x48
1361970692 - julienmOn linux we use the xpm which is 32x32
On windows I made an icon out of the 48x48 png, which integrates size 48x48, 32x32, 16x16. It also does look pixelated.
1361978808 - grizonnetmIt seems that most applications on Linux use 128x128 image (.png or .ico)
We've got 128x128 OTB images available in the "ArtWork" directory in OTB-Documents
1361980360 - julienmWere did you see that 128x128 rule ? I'm looking for it.
I've read about 48x48. We had a 32x32, but it was also of very low quality. I just pushed a new 48x48 xpm of decent quality. Can you please confirm that it's better and eventually sufficient ?
1361980974 - julienmJust checked on my Xubuntu 12.04. Alt-Tab gives a pretty nice icon
