Monteverdi 2 crashes hen running segmentation
Mantis Issue 790, reported by sdinot, assigned to mgrizonnet, created: 2013-10-15
I am experiencing a problem when I run the segmentation application in Monteverdi 2.0.4 on a Windows 7 computer. If I specify vector output the program creates the vector file then it crashes with the error “Monteverdi 2 has stopped working” The input image was a small (504x386) 6-band GeoTiff. I got the same error running either of the mean-shift options. I don't get this error when I output an image.
When I try the same thing using otbgui_Segmentation (3.18.1) on Ubuntu 12.04 it works fine.
1381843241 - grizonnetmI confirmed this bug with the current OTB and Monteverdi2 trunk and the input data attached.
It seems specific to monteverdi2 as I am able to process the segmentation application with the same parameters from the command line.
1381845031 - grizonnetmThink that I've understand. In vector mode in the output of the application is a vector data (.shp for example).
Running the application with this mode, we see in the status bar that mvd2 try to load a dataset from the Caching/Result directory. This file whatever it is does not exist in this case.
IMO there are 2 distincts problems:
- mvd2 should not try to import output when the segmentation application is run in vector mode.
- the application should not crash if there is an inconsistency in the output of an application
1381931301 - grizonnetmI'll look at this issue. I think that there is something wrong regarding the way we test if we should re-import output parameters from an applications
